Japan Marked Victory at the 2023 Dubai World Cup

Japan's Ushba Tesoro won the 2023 Dubai World Cup at the Meydan Racecourse. The victory marked Japan’s second victory in the iconic race.

With Yuga Kawada as the rider, the champion horse went from last to first place on the final stretch.

It looked like James Doyle and Algiers were heading for victory but Ushba Tesoro came from the middle of the pack to win comfortably.

Algiers finished a worthy second and Emblem Road, the Saudi Cup winner last year, finished best of the chasing pack to take third.
