The National Cherry Blossom Festival is held in Washington, DC, and surrounding communities, with a number of free family-friendly activities.
Peak blooms are observed at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC, while people are also experiencing entertainment representing Japanese, American, and other cultures.
A giant frame photo opportunity is available at the festival site for photo lovers.
On Sunday, the Blossom Kite Festival was also held in Washington Monument Grounds. Kite enthusiasts, beginners, families, and friends were all welcomed.
Many other events including the official National Cherry Blossom Festival Fireworks Show will be held during the festival until April 16, 2023.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC, and celebrates the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan.
Today’s festival now spans four weeks and welcomes more than 1.5 million people to enjoy spring time with various of events.
